Priceline 40% Off Haul

I'm sure every beauty obsessed Australian found out about Priceline's massive 40% all Makeup 2 day sale not long ago. I wasn't really looking at buying any new Makeup but with 40% of I just couldn't resist picking up quite a few products I have always wanted to try but never got the chance to.

I couldn't find time to get in to an actual store so I tried my luck online and of course the website kept crashing and was extremely slow so after a while I gave up and decided to set my alarm for 4.30am and pray the websites traffic wouldn't be crazy at that time (talk about dedication) and luckily for me I woke up had no issues with the site placed my order then went back to bed.

I don't think I went to over board but here is everything I picked up. I will try and include the original prices and what I paid so you can see the comparison.

(1) Essence Maximum Definition Volume Mascara - I paid $2.97 (RRP$4.95)
(2) Essence Multi Action Blackest Black Mascara - I paid $2.55 (RRP$4.25)
(3) Maybelline XXL Pro Extensions Mascara in Very Black - I paid $5.98 (RRP$9.95)
(4) Australis 10 Hour Wear Eye Pencil in Bombastic Bronze (not pictured) - I paid $5.97 (RRP$9.95)
(5) Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer in Medium - I paid $11.37 (RRP$18.95)
(6) Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Concealer in 10 Natural Beige - I paid $2.55 (RRP$4.25)
(7) Loreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer - I paid $17.97 (RRP$29.95)

(8) Essence Lipsticks in the shades 53 All About Cupcake, 48 Red Carpet & 57 More to Love - I paid $2.10 each (RRP$3.50)
(9) Essence Lip Liners in the shades 05 Soft Berry, 08 Red Blush, 10 Femme Fatale & 11 In the Nude - I paid $1.05 each (RRP$1.75)

(10) Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder in Deep Natural - I paid $6.84 (RRP$11.40)
(11) Bourjois Healthy Balance Compact Powder in 55 Beige - I paid $12.00 (RRP$20.00)

The main things I set out to buy were the Loreal Lumi Magique Primer which I have been eyeing for quite some time but $30 for a 20ml product seems like a lot of money so I thought now would be a good time to buy it and I have been using this almost everyday now and I LOVE it I might just have to be on the look out for sales as I still don't want to pay $30 for this in the future. I also really wanted to try the Bourjois Powder and Australis Bronze Eyeliner and so far am loving them both. I recently got quite a few Essence products for my birthday and wanted to get some more and with these prices how could I say now.

Did you pick up some things in this sale? What has been your latest affordable Beauty Buy?

Lust Have It April 2013

I finally got my Lust Have It box for April on Wednesday. I'm kinda annoyed that I received this so late as usually my Lust Have It takes less than a week to get to me but this one took a lot longer but I'm sure that was just because of the ANZAC Day public holiday.

I saw a few variations of this months box and honestly was not expecting much as quite a few of them were disappointed.

I did not receive the information card that usually comes with the box but Lust Have It kindly emailed the missing card to everyone as I think everyone who received this version of the box was missing the card.

Here is what I got in my box

(1) Molton Brown Patchouli & Saffron Body Wash 30ml Sample (RRP$39 for 300ml) - This product smells really intriguing smell. It's the kind of scent you will either love or hate. I don't mind the scent and I really like how it looks in the bottle but I gave this to my mum as I think I said in my Bellabox Post that she loves Saffron and she really liked the Scent of this body wash.

(2) Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant Mattifying Concentrate Serum Full Size 30ml (RRP$57.80) - For starters this didn't have a price on it so I checked on the website and found this is a Full Size product that is worth $57.80 which is a crazy price for the small tube and I saw on Abigail's Blog that she also recieved a Paula's Choice Product and found a huge difference in the Australian Prices vs the American Prices (see her post here) so I checked out the US site and found the same product for $26.95 how crazy us that! Now obviously that's not Lust Have It's Fault but I thought that was interesting. I am very intrigued by this product and will definitely try it out but I hope I don't like it as I don't think paying $57.80 will be worth it knowing it is a lot cheaper in America.

(3) Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo and Thickening Conditioner 10ml Samples (RRP$49.95 for 200ml) - I really hate how small these are as I like trying new shampoo's and conditioner's but I don't think this is an adequate size to truly get a feel of this product but at the same time maybe that's a good thing in this case as I don't see myself spending $49.95 each on the full size bottle of these. I really don't like the smell of these I read that they contain Ginseng and Turmeric and I'm pretty sure all I can smell is Turmeric and I really hate that smell.

(4) Pink Tiger and Duri Cosmetics 200pk Gauze Wipes (RRP$13) and Nail File Tool (RRP$1) - This is an interesting product and I'm excited to give this a go and see how well it works at removing Nail Polish. I don't really care to much for the Nail File.

(5) Rachel K Mineral Color Control CC Cream (RRP$39 for 50ml) - I'm currently on a BB Cream obsession and am on the Hunt for a great one and I'm slowly getting into CC creams so this will be great to try and see how I like it.

(6) Gosh Cosmetics Mono Eyeshadow in Light Brown (RRP$16) - I almost forgot to take a photo of this as It was in my Make Up Bag but oh my I LOVE this. I've been on the hunt for a nice subtle all over eye colour to wear during Autumn/Winter with some black or bronze eyeliner for those mornings I don't really want to spend ages doing my makeup and I'm pretty sure this is the colour I have been searching for so Thank You LHI for including this in my box. I really like the quality of this shade and am Eager to try some more Gosh products but I'm not sure where from =/

Over all I think this months box has some really good value but honestly that's not really what I look for as long as there are products I genuinely am excited to try I don't care if the box is worth $5 or $100. I have fallen in LOVE with the Gosh Eyeshadow and I'm so glad I got it as I missed out on it in last months box I think so I'm glad they added it in but I can see why some people would be annoyed at receiving it again. I love the colour and the quality. I'm excited to try the CC cream samples as I'm only just getting into the hole BB/CC cream thing and am on the Hunt for a Holy Grail product. I'm very keen to give the Paula's Choice Serum as I have oily skin and am very intrigued by the mattiying properties and to see how well it works.

What did you get in your Lust Have It Box? Are you still happy with your Beauty Box Subscriptions?

April Favourites 2013

Another Month has pretty much flown by and I can't believe its already May. I love this time of the year as It's when the weather starts to get colder and I know many people hate Autumn/Fall weather but I LOVE it.
The days are getting colder and It's starting to rain more and I'm starting to crack out my winter wardrobe.

Yesterday I had rare few minutes of complete sunshine so I tried to take as many photo's for my upcoming Blog posts as it going to be harder and harder to get some decent sun exposure but I managed to organise all my Monthly Favourites for April so here they are.

Makeup  Favourites

Lorac Unzipped Palette
- I recieved this for my Birthday (see here) and have had a lot of trouble putting it down since. I absolutely love this. The quality of the Eyeshadows are amazing and I love how Warm toned the palette is as my complexion is Olive and I can get fairly tan I often like to choose more Warm Neutral colours as they best suit me and most Neutral eyleshadow palettes have either a good mix of both or lean more to the cool side. This palette is going to be featured in my next Addcited to Neutral Post so look out for that soon (hopefully tomorrow).

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - I've heard alot about this powder and I decided to pick it up when priceline had a GWP offer a while back but I never used it as I had so many powders but I recently took it out and started using and and so far I have no complaints. I like how this keeps my skin fairly matte without making it look to cakey and powdery.

Arbonne Triple Action Mascara - I Received this product for review recently (see my review here) and have been loving using it. It has a super big brush that helps coat all your lashes and does a very nice job of adding Volume to the lashes but I'm not one to use a mascara alone so I have been pairing it with my Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara which I also love. The Loreal mascara is Amazing and one of the very few Mascara's I own that I can wear alone every other mascara I like to pair up. I don't know if they sell this mascara is Australia? (let me know if its sold here) I haven't seen it in store but I got mine from Amazon for about $6.50 and I plan on getting some more as I think this is my new HG drugstore mascara.

Essence I <3 Stage Eyeshadow Primer  - This is another thing I got for my Birthday and I have been using it everyday since. I kind of wish I didn't like this so much as I know it has been discontinued and I dont think its available anywhere or I would be buying the entire lot. This is one of the best eye primers I have used but lukily I have quite a few other really great ones for when this runs out.

Physicians Formula Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner - I got this in a set of 3 (for blue eyes) when Physicians Formula had a 50% off sale at Priceline. This eyeliner is really nice and smooth and I am OBSESSED with bronze eyeliners after watching this video by Shaaanxo on Youtube and this has pretty much become my go to everyday eye look (I just use similar eyeshadows I own).

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Eyeliner - I bought this early on this month when and I'm pretty sure this is new product from Maybelline. I'm still getting the hang of using this as I'm not the best when it comes to Liquid Eyeliner I like sticking to the felt tip pen like ones as I feel I have better control over them but this is great it really does give a super glossy look the only issue I have with it is that it gets all over my eyelashes and I generally have to try and clean it up as my Mascara doesn't apply well over it (if that makes sense)

Skin, Hair and Body Favourites

Palmolive Body Butter Coconut Scrub - I love Body Scrub type washes and I love Coconut so this is pretty much the best thing Ever. This product has been a Favourite of mine since I first bought it which was sometime last year but I ran out and for some reason I never purchased a new one until now and I was kindly reminded why I love it so much.

Frederic Fekkai Technician Color Care Conditioner - My sister bought one of these from Cosmetics Now and she feel in love with it and convinced me to try it and I'm glad I did as I love this. This conditioner smells amazing (kinda like fruity bubble gum. It has a super thick consistancy and doesnt need to much to coat the ends of your hair but it leaves my hair feeling so silky and soft and super hyrdrated without weighing it down and the scent of the conditioner lingers for quite a while.

Formula 10.0.6 Keep Your Cool Breakout Calming Mask - I can't remember who but someone recommended this product to me and I really wish I can remember who it was because I am so glad I bought this so THANK YOU to whoever it was. Lately I have been having an issue with minor breakouts so I used this almost every day for a week and now I use it about 3 times a week and after the first day I noticed a huge difference with my skin it really did calm down a lot. The other thing I love about this is how easy and fuss free this is to use. All you do is apply a thin layer of this gel mask to freshly cleansed skin leave in on for up to 5 mins then just gently massage the left over gel into your skin and that's it. I usually use this at night time. This is a Peppermint Gel Mask so if you are not very fond of Minty Scents (which I happen to love) then I wouldn't recommend this to you.

Nails Favourites

I have 2 nail polish favourites this month and both were featured in my Mint Neglected Nail Polish Post (see here) and they are China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint and Orly Ancient Jade. I have been obsessed with Green Nail Polishes ever since I can remember and lately have been on a Mint and Pastel Green Obsession and have been wearing both of these colours all month.

Non Beauty Favs

Arrow (Tv Show)I'm a sucker for anything slightly Superhero-esque and I have been pretty much hooked on this show since I first watched it though I can admit it was a bit lame/corny to begin with like I feel they were trying to hard but now that its getting toward the end of the season it really is stepping up and I can't wait every week for the next episode and it doesn't hurt that the main guy is gorgeous and often shirtless :)

Happy Endings (Tv Show)
I have been obsessed with this show ever since I saw it being advertised as "coming soon"on Australian Tv ages ago but as usual I couldn't wait for it to start to I went ahead and caught up with America on this show and I honestly think this is one of the funniest Tv Shows currently on TV and cannot explain how much I love this show it is the closest thing to the modern day version of Friends there is. My favourite Character is definitely Jane and Brad (mainly Brad) as the token Married couple and they are by far the funniest people on the show and with a father like Damon Wayans (my wife and kids) of course Brad (Daman Wayans Jnr) is going to be a comedic genius (well in my opinion anyway).

Night Visions (Album)
Music wise I can be a little slow when it comes to listening to new albums / bands that are on the rise but my friend has been begging me to listen to the band Imagine Dragons for quite sometime now and for some reason I was always like "yeah yeah I'll get to it" then finally I decided to listen to their album Night Visions and Woah now I regret not listening to it earlier as I can stop listening to it. I have fallen in love with EVERY SINGLE song on this album which isn't something that happens to me often the last album that I was completely obsessed with from beginning to end was Sinners Never Sleep by You Me @ Six.

It's hard to pick a favourite song from this Album as every single song is amazing and but the one I have been listening to on repeat every night is the song Demons and it is by far one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard.

but other honorable mentions are It's Time, Radioactive and Bleeding Out.

What have been some of your favourite this month?

Neglected Polish #6 Pink Glitter

I'm back with another Neglected Polish Post. Lately I have been painting my nails with a colour and adding random Glitter accents on random nails.

While deciding which Glitter to go with I realised a while back I went through a Rose Pink Glitter Phase and thought these polishes would be perfect for this Edition of Neglected Polish.

(1) Milani Disco Lights - This is a Beyond Gorgeous Rose Pink densely packed small hexagonal glitter. This is a seriously blinging nail polish colour. I usually apply 2 thin coats of this over Relvon ColorStay in Fall Mood (see my NOTD post here) or it applies opaque in 3 coats alone.

(2) Jordana Glitters Pixie Pink - This is a Clear based polish with Rose Pink small and larger hexagonal glitter. This polish is polish spreads the glitter out nicely with each brush stroke and does pack on a fair amount of glitter. I used 2 Coats in the swatches pictured above.

(3) China Glaze Material Girl - I originally bought this because of the name (I mean how could I pass that up). This is polish is densely packed with very fine Rose Pink glitter with some medium sized holographic Pink Hex glitter mixed in. This only needs around 2 coats for it to be opaque and drys rough so it does need a good top coat (as does most glitters)

(4) LA Splash Yours Truly - This is very similar to the China Glaze polish mentioned above except this one is a slightly lighter colour and it has small Silver Hexagonal glitter mixed through it. This polish takes about 3 generous coats to get it opaque.

(5) Orly Rage - This isn't actually a glitter polish but I thought it deserved an honorable mention as it is one of my favourite and go to Rose Pink Polishes. This is a metallic nail colour that people often compare to a Rose Gold nail polish but I feel this colour is to silver to be a Rose Gold. I personally prefer my Rose Golds to be more brassy.

Out of all of these Polishes my absolute all time favourite is definitely Milani Disco Lights and it is a colour I often reach for and probably the most complimented nail polish I own every time I have worn it I get so many people comment on it and it just makes me love it more.

What is your go to Glitter Colour? What are you wearing on your nails?

Addicted to Neutral #2 // Wet n Wild Nude Awakening

Recently on my blog I started a new series for my love of Neutral Based Eyeshadow Palettes and I was hoping to get a new post up every week but as usual life got in the way but I wanted to let everyone know that I am definitely still doing this and that I will try my best to get one up every week.

In my first post I reviewed my Too Faced Natural Eye Kit (see here) and since then I have acquired quite a few more affordable options for neutral palettes so I thought I would mix it up a little and alternate between reviewing my higher end palettes and my more affordable ones as most people who are interested in beauty know that just because it's affordable doesn't mean the quality is bad.

One of my favourite Brand for affordable Eyeshadows is Wet n Wild and their 8 pan Color Icon Palettes are highly raved about everywhere. I had seen pics of the new ones they brought out as apart of the new Spring Forward Collection and instantly knew I wanted them but they are not available in Australia so I pretty much stalked my go to websites that stock Wet n Wild for us Australian's (and any other Country who can't get them).

The Spring Forward Palettes are now available at Crush Cosmetics and Beauty Joint. I bought both the Nude Awakening and the Going in the Wild palettes.

The Nude Awakening palette is a great palette for people who want to add more neutral colours in to their eyeshadow collection without spending to much money but still getting amazing quality product.

Their are 8 shades included with a mix of Matte, Satin and Shimmer shades. The colours are mostly warm toned with a few cooler toned shadows giving this palette a nice range to suit all skin types.

Even though these 8 pan palette always have labelled Eyeshadows to help guide how to create looks I never really follow them because if there is a colour you like then your not really going to restrict using it for example I love the lighter Browbone colour all over the lid.

Swatched in Sunlight

Swatched with Flash
Im going to start with the left side of the palette.

1 Browbone - this is a nice creamy Matte Off White colour that has the tinest amount of shimmer in it but when applied to the eyes its definitely Matte so I don't know if the shade had shimmer in it to begin with or if its just from the other shade in the palette (if that makes sense). This shade is applies smoothly and evenly on the eye and is a buttery smooth Matte shade. All the Matte Wet n Wild Shades that I have tried are of such good quality.

2 Eyelid - This is a Satin finish Champagne colour that is so smooth and applies like a dream. This colour does look much deeper in the pan.

3 Crease - This is the 2nd Matte shade in the palette and like the First Matte shade this is an AMAZING quality shade. This is a medium toned Matte Brown shade with reddish undertones. It is extremely similar to the shade Buck in the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

4 Definer - This is a Deep Muddy Brown shade with gold shimmer running through it. This shade has slight fallout which is expecting with these kinds of shimmery shade but nothing to over the top.

Swatched in sunlight

Swatched with Flash

Now the right side of the palette. Im not sure why the photo I took in the sunlight didn't show the shimmers in these shades properly but the second image is a little more true to life with the swatches.

5 Browbone - This is a very smooth Satin Light Copper Shade. This is not your typical Browbone colour and definitely not a colour I would use on the Browbone but it is still a lovely shade.

6 Eyelid - This is a warm toned Medium Satin Brown colour. Nothing to exciting or special there are a million shades like this but it is still very nice.

7 Crease - This is a Gun Metal Grey shade with tons of shimmer in it. I love the inclusion of these kinds of shades in Neutral Palette as it helps people creat looks with tons of definition or smokey eye looks. Neutral Palette I find are so versitille and can take you from Day looks through to Night Looks.

8 Definer - This is a deep cool toned soft black with what looks like Silver or Holographic Green Glitter in it. I'm not really sure how to describe the glitter in this but whatever the colour is in this makes the shade look stunning.

So far I have absolutely No Complaints with this palette and I pretty much LOVE Every Shade in this. I think It is really worth the price (especially for us Australians) as its hard to come by a complete "drug store" palette that ticks all the boxes. I know this is a limited edition palette so If you were thinking of purchasing this I hope this review help you out.

Have you tried any of the Spring Forward Wet n Wild Palettes?

Current Beauty Wishlist 25/04/13

Lately my mental wishlist's have been getting bigger and bigger so I thought I would make note of the main things I want so I can remind myself what I need to buy :)

This wishlist is more of a future to buy list as lately I know I've been spending money on things I don't need and it seems to be adding up. I'm hopeless at spending bans and honestly I don't need to go on one as money isn't an issue the issue now is the excess amount of stuff I own.

So I have created a list of things I want to buy/try out and hopefully in the next coming months you will see me slowly buying these.

(1) A Decent Brush Set - The nicest Make Up Brushes I own are my Real Techniques Brushes and as much as I love them I'm really considering investing in a good quality brush set only problem is I don't know which set to buy. I see a lot of people talk about brushes on you tube but I'm not sure which ones to buy so If any of you have any recommendations for me please do help as I trust your opinions :)

(2) Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation or Naked Skin Beauty Balm - I really want to try something from the Urban Decay Naked Skin range. I'm on the hunt for a nice light weight but still good coverage foundation as my HG foundation (NP China Doll) is quite expensive so I don't want to use it all the time so I've been trying out different ones to mix and match with on some days and so far I haven't found a nice one for my skin type.

(3) Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Topaz - I've seen so many reviews on this product and I've just been getting into nude eyeliners so I would love to try this out.

(4) Benefit Fake Up Concealer - This is another highly recommend product and I'm currently obsessed with finding a holy grail concealer.

(5) Urban Decay Setting Spray - I've never tried a setting spray before and I know this one is a very popular one so I want to give this a try as well as a few other. any recommendations for setting sprays would be very appreciated.

(6) Skin 79 BB Creams - I'm really getting in to proper Asian BB creams and I've read a few reviews and Skin 79 seem to be a popular and good brand so I'm going to buy some of these very soon.

(7) Lioele Be My Skin Powder Pact - This has been on my wishlist for a long time and honestly I just love the way this product looks but I also hear it works nicely. This isn't really a wishlist item anymore as I just ordered it but I didn't remove it from my list as I'm currently waiting for it to arrive and I'm very excited.

(8) Stila All Over Shimmer Powder in Kitten - This just looks like a gorgeous product and I'm really starting to appreciate Highlighter's and I want to try this one out.

(9) Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Kit - I've really been enjoying my Natural Eye Kit by Too Faced and I think I'm ready to try another one of their Eyeshadow Kits and I really like the look of the Boudoir Eyes Kit

What products have you been lusting over lately?
